The New York City Fire Museum is located in a renovated 1904 firehouse in the neighborhood of SoHo in New York City. The New York City Fire Museum contains art and artifacts celebrating the history of firefighting and the New York City Fire Department. Among the New York City Fire Museum collection is an authentic New York fire apparatus from 1790, one of the oldest in North America. Examples of modern day firefighting equipment are also on permanent display at the New York City Fire Museum.
