Department of Education of NYC has published a list of estimating the number of teachers can be dismissed if the state does not provide additional funds and seniority rules are not changed.
The New York Times says that the dismissal could affect 80 percent of all public schools in the system. He says that most schools could lose one to five teachers.
The ministry made the list published Sunday by the State Senate prepares to vote on a bill that would allow dismissal of teachers from New York based on performance rather than seniority.
The list gives a worst-case scenario. It does not reflect the number of posts of teachers in each school may lose the number of teachers who could be fired.
